Missoula is a lovely up-and-coming mountain college town nestled between national forest! Blake and I were fortunate enough to head up there for a long weekend over the 4th of July. If you’re planning an adventure this summer, Montana should definitely be on your list!
Just a note: since we were only there for 4 days and spent 3 of them on a boat, this list will be added to. I merely hope to inspire you to look into such a gorgeous part of the US!
♥ Go sailing on Flathead Lake.
♥ Day trip to Glacier National Park:
♥ Go on a hike
♥ Plonk: This was a lovely, wine bar with a gorgeous rooftop terrace. It’s a bit on the swanky side, but if thats what you’re in the mood for it’s absolutely worth checking out!
♥ Catalyst: We went here for brunch! YUM! Definitely worth checking out. Can’t go wrong with breakfast all day! Oh and their chai was delicious!
♥ Big Pizza: Incredible pizza, energetic atmosphere and gluten free options!
♥ Tamarack Brew Pub: Good beer, great staff, yummy food!
♥ Montgomery Distillery: This place had a fun saloon vibe that I adored. I unfortunately can’t drink hard alcohol so I wasn’t able to get any of their drinks, but from the reactions of Blake and his dad the cocktails were top notch! I saw a brochure of a tour that they lead of scotch distilleries which I thought was awesome. Try: Moscow Mules (apparently delish!) and 2 people said they have the “Best Bloody’s in town!”
We had an afternoon to wander the town!
♥ Butterfly Herbs: I fun local herb shop! They had a gorgeous library wall of spices an herbs and teas! *swoon* I could get lost in there for hours!
♥ Hide + Sole: This was a lovely local shoe shop, and with my obsession with pretty leather shoes I couldn’t resist! They even have leather hides that you can buy if, like me, you want to try your had at some leather working. I left with a strip of leather big enough for a small purse. I’m excited to try it out.
Until next time Missoula!
